FHP develops landmark project “Fronfeste 1791” in St. Florian

With “Fronfeste 1791” in St. Florian, FHP Investment Group is undertaking a distinctive revitalisation project in the historic centre of the Upper Austrian town. The former savings bank at Marktplatz 11 will provide approximately 1,700 m² of usable space, combining housing designed for older residents with complementary commercial premises.

Revitalising heritage

The listed building, dating back to 1791, will be carefully refurbished and architecturally reinterpreted. Working closely with the Austrian Federal Monuments Authority and the municipality of St. Florian, FHP aims to create an exemplary combination of historic fabric and contemporary use.

Alongside preserving the building’s distinctive appearance, the design focuses on sustainability and long-term usability. Modern homes for older generations will emphasise comfort, accessibility and community. Additional space for services and businesses will bring further activity to the historic centre of St. Florian.

Project status and outlook

Design and planning work is progressing at pace. A final building permit is expected in early 2026, after which implementation is scheduled to proceed swiftly.

With “Fronfeste 1791”, FHP Investment Group demonstrates its commitment to value-driven project development that respects historic buildings while creating sustainable uses for the future.
